Plot bunny... of RPS?
Aug. 9th, 2009 10:29 pmYou know how if an actor mentions they like a particular thing, like chocolate or haribo or whisky, they will forever after get much of it?
And you know how certain actors have mentioned lately that they want to adopt?
... am having plot bunny of baby on doorstep.
It would be at a convention, of course, because all kinds of insanity are perfectly plausible at a convention.
And there would be LOLs and cuteness, because, unexpected baby. With a Please Take Care Of note.
And it would have some threads of that thing where the story people used to believe in they called religion, and they left babies for churches to look after, so now we call them television, does the urge to leave your kids in the good story go away?
Except then I start thinking what kind of mind set would think that the baby is better off with the TV star, and then it starts being not funny at all at all.
Plus the way it's real difficult to file the serial numbers off once you start writing about a guy and his civil partner and a SF con.
But there's a story in there.

Date: 2009-08-09 10:00 pm (UTC)My parents did that once at a con, or so I've been told - it was an old friend's hotel room doorstep, and my baby brother.
There are days when I wish they'd left him there, but that's another story...
