internet research fail
Aug. 31st, 2009 04:57 pmYou know that neuroscience survey with the Harry Potter and Buffy pictures in the banner?
Fails. So. Much.
From reading their LJ and comments threads I find that (a) they're changing the survey questions as they go along, which makes it utterly useless and (b) they're changing the FAQ rather than actually answering comments, proving they know nothing about, well, the internet. Also they claim they can't delete people's answers, so all those people saying they withdraw their consent? Would have to go delete it themselves. And if they've deleted cookies since taking it that won't be possible. The survey depends on cookies. Do they not know that thing where 1 computer does not equal 1 person? :eyeroll:
Also they've got a post where each and every one of the survey questions is listed so people can complain about them individually.
... I only looked at one, I saw a massive error in terminology, but now these 'researchers' give me the creeps so much I don't want to comment about it. They've disabled anon posting. Wonder why?
Also, do they actually expect people to make that many seperate replies??? Why? For the researchers convenience???
The whole thing stinks of combined 'pls do our homework' and 'we knows the answers, you tells us we're right'.
