Doctor Who
Apr. 23rd, 2005 08:26 pmHow could such a fun beginning turn into such utter, utter rubbish?
That wasn't funny, except for one moment of a minor character's expression. It wasn't clever how it ended. And it doesn't track that the Doctor knew that particular bit of future but didn't know last week was first contact.
It wasn't a Doctor Who solution. And I know that each incarnation has an individual style, but he isn't right. And the show isn't focused right. Should be called 'Rose' the way it is written now. And I really intensely dislike her.
I'll watch next week. But so far there has been more rubbish than good stuff, so I'm not hopeful.

Date: 2005-04-23 07:48 pm (UTC)It didn't go down in history as first contact, though - the paper Mickey was reading was already talking about the 'alien hoax'. (I suppose you could argue he should have known it wasn't first contact since he'd never heard of it, which brings up how flexible time is and how he can know anything for sure. I think I just gave myself another temporal headache.)
