(no subject)
Jan. 9th, 2007 04:29 pmI have read too much fanfic.
It's all blurring around the edges.
I do not want to read, ever again, about suicide, Ianto breaking down and sobbing for any reason outside what we saw in canon, or (and I did not expect to say this) coffee.
There is more to life than coffee. Seriously.
I am also very much wishing that there were more writers out there who believed in this thing called 'plot'. I realise a lot of people want to read the sex parts. But if it's just parts, it all get a tad bit repetitive.
As to Jack/Ianto - ( Read more... )
On the plus side the themes of naked, wet, and CCTV are ones I feel could survive more exploration. Also suits and ties and coats. And handcuffs.
Just as long as it's specific enough you couldn't just take the names out and lose who is involved.
... I'll do a post in the not too distant future with recs in it. I'm finding lots of good stuff too. It's just I'm also finding posts where people spell honest as 'onist' and/or believe that every word ending in s has a secret desire to be a 's instead, and eventually it gets a bit depressing.
... sooner or later I'll write Torchwood fic. And then everyone can complain about me.
