... is kind of difficult to have a discussion on your own. I mean I can post as me and as anon, but it'll still say 1 in the Total Participants. And then I just look silly.

Last week there were 6 participants and 12 posts. I guess they all had something to do this week.

And, okay, everyone is doing more lessons than me, but still.
*sigh*


... yeah, I need to find something else to do.

Capital letters

So, Roald Dahl Plass, or Plas Roald Dahl in Welsh. Why there's a one letter difference in Welsh for a word that Wiki says is in fact Norwegian I can't quite figure out, unless it's also a Welsh word that way. So plass is plaza in Norwegian. Soooo... if you say you'll meet someone in Roald Dahl Plass, obviously you put it all in capitals because it's a proper name. But if you say you'll meet someone in the Plass... do you say it with a P or a p? And is it different if you write Plas? And is using the Welsh way of writing it in an English sentence correct?

If you said you'd meet someone in Bute Street then you could put capitals on it, but if you said they're standing in the street you don't put capitals. Is it the same rule with plas? Is it a generic word or only a name?

I'm trying to figure out if something is or would look like a typo. I suspect a lack of agreement.

My BT Home Hub has arrived :-)
... there was a little rattly noise and a small piece of plastic fell out.
Should I (a) send it back now or (b) plug everything in and see if it was merely small or small yet crucial.

decisions one would not have to make in a properly run world.


I'm hoping the thing will work better than the ancient modem I've got right now.

It will have wireless. So I'll be able to get on the internet with the newer laptop, but not the older one. I forsee a future of using the older laptop for any really important deadline related writing.

... I don't feel like fiddling with it tonight. I'm going to go read more book for class. I like class.
