Rain rain go away then I can go out today...

Okay, so I woke up in the actual morning, I get points for that, right?

At this precise moment I can't tell if it's actually raining or just wet and drippy.
I also can't tell if it's actually rain, cause it's looking all slushy and lumpy.
Blah.

I need to go to the library sometime.

but the thing about taking books back is you have a whole heap of them that you could be reading without leaving the house at all... and it's not like I've finished them even...

*sigh*

I'm not going anywhere, am I?

Willpower. I'm sure I had some once.


Oh urgh... now I get the bus to college I'll have to walk through whatever weather happens to be happening. Blah. I think I liked it better when the taxi dropped me at the front door. Even if that was right expensive.

grey and cold and rainy

I'm having an utter lack of motivation.
Which is daft, because I like studying Greek tragedy.
I just... I seem to have run out of energy entirely. I'm just blah. I look at my bag full of books and think thoughts entirely unrelated to reading them.
I keep circling back to the idea that I just can't seem to care if I get this degree or not.
I've got another three years to go, I can't just not-care for three years.
I like the subjects this year. I like the texts. It's all interesting.
And still, I'm just blah.

I want to write. And write some more. And send it to people who might show it to people who might like it.
I can get really passionate about some of my story ideas.

But I'm supposed to be passing exams and writing essays and turning up for college.
Even though college has been really useful, opened my eyes to a lot of stuff, continues to be full of shiny ideas...
I just can't seem to care.

As some of you know *waves hi* S3 is my other home on the web. I been chatting there pretty much daily since... you know I don't actually remember? Years and years. We were talking about new episodes still.

... wow. That's been a while.

S3 has been so essential to my mental health I got the college library to unblock it when they decided it was a banned chat site. I explained it was a clever cultural studies site essential for my progress in fan studies. I don't know if they bought it, but they unblocked it.

I like it in particular because it has very topic-y specialist board areas and then the main board, 1000+ parts of it and counting, where it's entirely acceptable to mention every stage of the laundry process and how many cups of tea you've had so far. Or, if you want, talk about the show. Either way is good.

It's people, you know? And one of those places I'd point out whenever someone tries that people-on-the-internet-aren't-real ignorance. Online community.

Thai food is good

I ate thai food and did talking to human beings.

New kinds of food is good. Mock Duck looks a bit different but tastes good, along with three different kinds of mushroom, all nice. Also I had rice. It had its own covered rice bowl on a stand. I'm sure I ate rice, but the bowl remained full. Good trick.

I got full before the food ran out. Nice.

The staff were everso friendly and helpful, pretty much *everything* is available in vegetarian versions with Quorn or tofu or vegetables or the mock duck tofu stuff, and the menu has little chili ratings so you can avoid spicy if you want to.

I'm going back there again.

The only down side is it's in view of Speedy Pizza. I *miss* pizza. I should figure out the whole vegan cheese pizza thing.
