Nov. 15th, 2008 08:15 pmHave now rewatched Doctor Who episodes with Mickey in season 1.
So I just watched the Doctor regenerate.
Now I'm watching the Children in Need bit... and I just realised why 'new teeth' is so clever:
Nobody has had an entirely new body. *Everybody*, especially the target audience, has experienced new teeth.
Nicely done.
"Hopping for our lives" sounds fun.
The colors are different on this bit than they were on the bit I watched about a minute ago. I think. Weird.
... if this Doctor was doing this much talking later on it would take about half the time. He's practically slow compared with himself.
"He's busy. Got plenty to do rebuilding the Earth."
*growly face*
I just seen Jack's face when the Doctor left again.
So once again I want to dump ice on the Doctor's head.
Grrr.
I'm sure there's levels on which this is not the most productive possible use of my time.
I'm also sure I was awake until 0400 again and then slept until 1530, when I only woke up cause someone knocked at the door, so I think it's fair to say I'm not quite 100% just at the minute. It's not even being tired from going places, cause I didn't.
So I'm going to sit on the sofa and watch a lot of Doctor Who and figure out how to do it.
Every time I watch Jack make the speech in Parting of the Ways I get another speech in my head for this made up companion character. Making up new companions isn't terribly likely to get anyone reading it. I mean as far as I can tell writing fanfic about the characters everyone reads only gets me a dozen readers. But if I ever do get to write for Doctor Who and make up characters and write that speech I'm sure you all would be impressed.
My DVD recorder box also plays back DVDs so they're HD quality. My Doctor Who looks really very extra good. It's fun.
I should get some kind of actual HD playing device. Then I can get the shiny quality Torchwood discs.
I just started teh christmas special and just realised again: between the Doctor leaving Jack and the Doctor being all 'hey, let's visit christmas', Jack waited for him for about 137 years... and still had to wait longer.
Time travel *sucks*.
And the Doctor really really needs that ice bucket treatment.
