I seem to be quitting on Torchwood. There's conversation still going on. But I've had a good look at Children of Earth and thought about it a lot and formed conclusions about it. Now, either people agree with me, and then we're both upset together, or they disagree with me, and then I end up upset at them for the same reasons I'm upset at TW CoE. And it's all just the opposite of fun.

And right now fanfic isn't really helping. Usually I can sort of reweave stories so they fit again, but this one is just shredded.

:-(

Didn't like it. Had trouble settling to listen. While it was on I have rearranged my bookshelves again and sorted out a couple dozen books for sale (incidentally, does nobody wants my books? I shall have to sell them to strangers!). Also had food and rearrange furniture and sorted out my jewelry and doodled and stuff. So, you know, clearly completely engrossed.

I realise I'm cranky, picky, and easily bored. But, well, there are stories I like- I love Pest Control and like the one with the space apartment block... Forever Trap? This story I do not like.

Next must decide between more audio, a DVD, or actually getting things done.
... getting things done is not looking like a winner right now...

I just checked my Vampire the Masquerade Clan Novel collection on Amazon to see what they're going for second hand. I do that with all my books and usually find they're pennies and postage. When I got the books off the shelf I was thinking £1 each on the market stall would do me fine. That would add up to £17. I just added up the low end 'good' condition (ie two grades below my Like New read once and shelved carefully collection) prices currently listed and got £85.97.
£85.97 !
Just a teensy difference there then...
So. Guess it might be worth listing those individually. *blinks*

If I look at the 'like new' prices they get a bit nuts. One of these books is listed at £20. For a paperback I bought in 2002.
Since I haven't read them since 2002 I think turning them into money would be a good idea.

Of course if they're still on Amazon for sale they're not actually sold yet. No knowing what price actually sells. But still.

I think it can teleport. It was just sort of wandering along when I spotted it and then as soon as I jumped WHOOSH no spider. It was on the back of the sofa. Luckily I was not on the sofa. I'm on the computer chair with the laptop. But now I think it went under the sofa. My feet go under the sofa! But not now. My feet go on the computer chair too. This makes the laptop a bit awkward, but I shall manage.

I am using the laptop because the big computer needs to go back to the shop being marginally more messed up than this one. That was going to happen tomorrow, along with Take Books To Market and Look At Houses. But my employee phoned and said oops Monday doesn't work for her after all so she won't be working for me. This joins the Thursday and Friday. I can't go out Wednesday cause it's cleaner day. Either we go Tuesday or it be more than a week. Houses could vanish.

... okay, houses couldn't technically vanish, but their listing on the house exchange could.

I think I'll go to Norwich anyway. And take my computer in on my own. And... if I could just up and do these things easy I wouldn't have an employee...

I still need more plans for actual social things to do. My to do list is sort of backed up while simultaneously full of empty. Weird.
