Light! :-)
Mar. 8th, 2011 10:10 amThe electrician was here and replaced my ceiling light in the living room and now it has been at least ten minutes without the bulb going PHUT so I have hopes that it is fixed.
He brought a big stepladder and I had cleared the room enough there was plenty of space. I had to move my recliner though cause usually it is where the light is best ie right under the light. I'm not sure I've put it back precisely where it was before. I suspect it's a couple of degrees to the right. This will bug me all day.
It made dents in the carpet and it is back in the dents, but carpet dent precision may not be sufficient.
Also: I did the vacuum cleanering :-) ... usually I hide from the vacuum cleaner. It eats the world. The noise fills up all spaces. *shivers*
... I should write a Doctor Who monster vacuum cleaner.
My front room now feels really tidy even though the Big Heap Of Paper is still a big heap. This I think is because the purpose of the Big Heap is to put things in when I stop thinking about them. It's the designated non existent corner. So the fact that it's bigger than my desk and about a foot deep still doesn't feel like mess.
... oh dear.
Right. I will do some reading with my new improved light that actually works, and then I will do some tidying the paperwork. Probably. At some point. Any day now.
I think the real problem is the only logical way to get things properly tidier is to get rid of useless stuff. But I can never persuade myself anything ever is useless stuff. My dead computer graveyard has all kinds of everything in it, and none of it works no more. And the collection of CD-ROM and DVDs I have... I never look at them! Why do I keep them when I never look at them? Because you never know...
