College: Always so organised
Sep. 13th, 2011 02:35 amSo, since I checked before the weekend, the tutor has sent out half a dozen emails about the timetable, updated timetable, first lesson, updated first lesson, enrolment, and you guessed it, updated enrolment.
Some of these were because she read semester 2 as semester 1.
This does not fill me with unbounded confidence.
I have read the latest of the emails and according to those my first lesson should be Life Writing because it is in semester 1 not 2. Teach said it was in semester 2 and clashed with Diss Prep. But that's not so in the latest timetable she just now sent out. But, if I do LW I'd do 40 credits in one semester instead of 30, which I don't particularly want to do. So I will stick with the 30 credits and turn up to first lesson she told me about before.
But in better news Short Story is in Semester 2, doesn't clash with Diss Prep because they're both level 2 modules, and is 10 credits I haven't done yet at a level where I need 10 more credits. I'll call that a win. So in semester 2 I will take Short Story, which leads in to Life Writing anyway according to the course descriptions.
I still have no paperwork for finances. I have a series of ambiguous statements that suggest I (a) should be getting a totally different sort of finance this year and (b) should have sorted it out before the summer. That could be a problem. Nobody sent me a letter this year. All the other years, PTG1 form turned up in the post. This year, nada. College will have the knowing though, so I'll go sort that out on Wednesday.
... which is tomorrow.
Back to college tomorrow!
... I am soooo out of practice. And they've changed the library. And I don't know what the food will be like this year.
I have a lunch bag, I can manage without college food this year.
Must relax. Breathe. Try and find the campus map because we're in different buildings this year, and really, college, why so difficult? We couldn't stick with all the lessons on one corridor? That was useful! But nooooo.... *sigh*
On the plus side, new input starting tomorrow. Interesting things. Humans who are interactive.
Is good.
