So with so many things leaving me a bit 'yeah but' then that's my impression of the story
but
I had woken up after four hours sleep, having a worried and unable to get back to sleep, so it's entirely possible the whole thing was a Me mood, nothing to do with the story after all.

which is happening a lot lately and makes reviewing things a bit useless, but so it goes.

BFA DW 217 The Memory Bank and other stories

5 and Turlough, so I like it already.
Turlough is great because he complains about little things like 'wtf I did not sign up for this' and 'argh argh this hurts this sucks' and 'now how about a plan involving not dying'. Relatable.
Also he gets hilariously snippy whenever the Doctor wanders off to make friends with a girl, in a way that gets quite difficult to read without the obvious.
I like him a lot.

And these were a good set of stories for that, mostly. ( Read more... )

The Memory Bank was the best of the batch by a ways. Manages to make the idea of being forgotten even scarier than it starts as, and explores Turlough's background a bit more, making it a story only this companion could tell.


I enjoyed listening to these.
