Jan. 5th, 2018 09:13 amI watched Spiderman Homecoming. Very much not my demographic any more. I just get angry at the adults.
Tony pretty much still needs slapped on that one, though he does try hard. Wrong design philosophy on the suit though, made it all or nothing, couldn't take it back and leave him a panic button.
Happy kind of needs fired from that particular role though or he needs an AI good at taking messages, he didn't filter for importance correctly, and he gets pushy when feeling overwhelmed.
... I realise the point of Spiderman movies is to have opinions of Peter, but mine are pretty much 'good kid, needs more support', so, that's what I mean by wrong demographic. Also, I'm still annoyed they went with yet another white boy reboot, but, that has happened now.
The thing on tumblr that pointed out all the calling him a girl and making penis jokes makes much more sense if he's trans? works.
... we just dont need more straight white cis boy heroes, they need to tell more stories now. Diverse supporting cast is a step forwards, but, structural problem remains.
Okay, I'm tired and have a headache and have few to no feels about that movie. I may go back to bed.
