Ant Man

I rewatched Ant Man.
... I feel I will not ever again need to rewatch Ant Man. Nor did I really need to today. I'm doing an MCU rewatch, but this, I feel, I could skip.
Whatever that movie was trying to do, it did not gel.

Also, women.

I am so tired of what movies do with women.

Just let the more competent and all round awesome woman actually do their own job. Why the hell would they need permission? They would not. They would do their damn job.

And the one glimpse we have of Peggy doing her job involves her being outnumbered, surrounded, and ignored by white men.

How do guys watch this and think this resembles the world in any way, shape, or form?

because women.

(... okay, I have no support so I will almost certainly stay home, but in theory.)

God that's depressing.

I mean, what argument is this movie trying to make?
I'll take an 'it's complicated' but I'm not sure it would.

Doctor Strange

Once again my opinion has not changed.
That is a whole lot of spectacle. Intricate. Beautifully realised.
And I don't see how it serves the story.
