Random mum is random

beccaelizabethMum just turned up at the door at 2100. Unprecedented. I'm not used to her leaving the house after 4pm, but with my brother moved out she can go any place, so I guess today she went here. She said she was just walking random. So I gave her the John Barrowman book she wanted to read (after taking the cover off because the last JB book I loaned her has a tear in it), and then she decided she wanted the piece of carpet that's been sitting rolled up in my bathroom since the insurance replaced the living room and hall carpets. So she picked that up and walked out.
*blinks*
Okay then. I guess that's all perfectly logical.
So now she's gone home, probably, or else she's wandering around Dereham with a large bit of carpet.
My day has involved mostly sleeping late, watching Star Trek Enterprise because my recorder box records it every day and twice Friday so there's about a dozen episodes sitting around there, editing the commercials out of everything on the recorder box to make space, and moving most of it to DVD. Where experience suggests I'll never look at it again. And where I'm fairly sure I've already got most of Enterprise once already, but I didn't write down which episodes.
Sherlock has gone onto DVD too. I was not impressed. The things they dropped after the first ep were all the interesting things, far as I can see, and I thought the ending was cheap, because any writer can get someone into trouble.
I need to do something more interesting, in the near future.
Tomorrow I go to look at the area a flat is in in Norwich. The owner has contacted me about a house exchange. I guess I don't feel as guilty about someone moving in to this house lately, since they arrested the known drug dealers, but the frequency of fires is still a bit much. I don't know why anyone would want to move in after an accurate description. But I will go see if I want to move out to there. It looks promising though, in plenty good walking distance of college and the mall and the forum and everything. However being that close to the mall and the forum and all it's right on the edge of the highest crime area in Norwich. So I don't know.
I'm not even sure I want to move any more. Except I already know Dereham is pretty thoroughly boring. Other places could be worse but hold the possibility of better. So I will go look.
There was also teh plan to go watch a film before the NSFG at the Ribs of Beef pub at 8pm. But to watch Inception it would start at either 1545 or 1900, neither of which are convenient. And other films in the time slot? The A Team and The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Do I want to watch either of those?
Also today my desktop computer crashed out completely again, with flickering screen and no error message explanations. Helpful. Note to self: No more using Breckland Computers.
