computer games of much annoyance

Westward is very very annoying.
Westward II is also very very annoying. Possibly with another Very in it.
I had to give up on one game and try again as a different character. The girl character was most difficult. Is unhelpful.
Lots of things about it are unhelpful.
It doesn't work, and it should work, and then it doesn't work some more.
Plus to win the game you have to cut down every tree and mine until the gold runs out and basically pillage the landscape. There is no eco version.
Also sometimes barrels are barrels and sometimes they're secret bandits, which is very irritating. I like building things and sometimes going away to have a fight. Having fights leap out at you when you're trying to build a well is realistic yet annoying.
So I've been sitting there getting more and more annoyed at it for hours and hours, and I don't even know why. Bloody minded stubborn stupidity?
On the plus side, I've been too busy trying to kill imaginary bandits and make enough food and reboot the sodding computer when it locks up and all of that to spend any time thinking of severed arteries or scratching eyes out, so it's a big improvement on yesterday.
I feel kind of sick, I'm bored, I'm tired, and it was a total waste of time, but hey, it's a game, it's meant to waste time.
I should play more better games.
But this one was free, so *shrugs*
