Men wearing less

I was planning a scene where a guy chooses an outfit for his new girlfriend to wear, kind of a dare-you, how little will she wear in public. So then she does the same for him. Only I then realised that she could be wearing a wide range of formalwear or other clothes, expected outfits for a variety of situations, but he could be wearing... well, beach stuff, basically. Even most sports cover more skin on a man than awards dresses do on a woman. So at the moment he's wearing a waistcoat and a kilt, maybe leather.

But I was trying to think of outfits for a guy to look slutty in that don't involve skirts.

Suggestions? ... possibly with photos?

formal evening wear with bow tie and cummerbund but with no shirt or jacket. It's the "Chippendale" look.

Backless shirt
Proper formal trousers - but with slits on the sides all the way up



Denim shortshorts with or without net sleeveless top
and if you must have a top, with a leather jacket but nothing underneath it




and a guy climbing mountain with shorts and tall boots

Considering the guys around here who jog in nothing but a pair of shorts... there's always the basic Speedo. Think Xander on the swim team.

but any other context? men don't go to restaurants in speedos, though women can go to restaurants in backless minidress things with a couple of strips of fabric at the front.

Kilts aren't even unusual anymore.

Maybe a tuxedo jacket and matching shorts? Or a waistcoat and shorts? You're right, it's hard. Unless you put him in the little black dress and her in the suit; that'd be interesting.

Leiderhosen maybe? That'd be weird anyway, but probably not what you're looking for.

Lederhosen are actually a good idea. Some versions show a lot of leg and in combination with the right shirt and jacket they can pass as formal wear.

Otherwise you are right: menswear for anything but really casual occasions or sportsevents does cover a lot more skin than outfits for women for the same occasions. Which is kinda weird, considering that topless women are considered more naked barechested men.

Tight pants with laces up the sides as seen on many a male goth because they can show lots of skin and pvc or leather would be more 'slutty' than canvas add a see through mesh or fishnet tshirt to that and you've got a guy who is basically walking around naked.

Not that I don't like the kilt and waistcoat idea of course.

And as another idea, have you seen how revealing some of the guys costumes in Bollywood/Tollywood movies are? Ok, they are essentially dance costumes but even so... plenty revealing.

although guy and girl styles are rather mix and match as long as they're all dark :)

now I can't find any of my nice Omen tops with tribal patterns or big daggers on, guess they aren't sold any more, but they make a nice contrast bit.

In the movie "Burlesque," the male bartenders and waiters at the club wear Cabaret-inspired costumes (tight pants, waistcoats with no shirts, lots of eyeliner) that are PLENTY slutty. A tie over a low-cut shirt or no shirt works too.
