season 2 episode 7
it seems to be getting more Christian
I mean the rock star guy was singing about Jesus
but at the same time there was mention of the Bardo and yoga and a bunch of other spiritual practices
and the basic bit about candle lit vigils / stars worked fine with no religion in it
still, I think I'd still prefer it if they left God out of it and kept it a bit vaguer. Don't know if I'm over reacting.
Or with the 'not a lesbian' not subtext bits. That was kind of... funny and not at once. I mean it was the girl who was with the lipgloss who turned out to be the killer and... if I think about this it bugs me. But again, I don't know if it bugs me because it bugs me or because on top of all the other stuff in every text ever it bugs a sore spot. You know?
On the whole I still like the show. Just more bits of it are vaguely bugging me.
Oh, it was funny for a moment when the priest, played by a guy who was on Stargate, got a lighting effect that looked very much like the lights that come through an active gate. Just for a moment, then it was all a corridor and not a stargate, but that made me laugh. Strange connections you get with actors. I think Apophis was on the other week too. Bizarre.
