Jul. 8th, 2005 09:01 pmAm watching Minority Report
I forgot how much I love the moment in the elevator
where the guy says "put the gun away, I don't hear a red ball"
and *then* the alarm goes off
that change in his expression
you can just see the 'bathroom, now' moment
I love that look
Right now it is the gross bit with eyeballs
well, actually theres quite a long sequence of gross bits related to eyeballs
and I could do without gross. So, typing. And checking mail.
I'd also forgotten that it ends one voiceover too late. Which is pretty typical for PKD stories. Hollywood wants tidy, but it ends up washing out the impact. It should have ended in the dark, with the dead guy. That was the end of the story, the rest was a bunch of loose ends taht were only emotionally relevant if you stopped to think about it, not to the central story. Too many endings.
