Team Chaos
Nov. 25th, 2013 06:44 amDreamed I was sneaking in to a prison to break some people out, as part of a team that also included Loki and Eris and, er, someone who dressed like Batman but emphatically did not act like him. We were there to rescue three people and had a very sneaky cunning plan that would whisk them away hours before anyone noticed they were gone. We were also mostly Chaos deities.
So, I instead looked out a window to another cell block and found a whole dorm/ward full of people allied to me, and by sign language set my name's word to getting them all out. Several dozen of them.
... forward momentum?
So Eris and, er, unBatman went ahead with the original plan, while Loki snuck off to do a thing, and I tried to travel over to the other block to get my people. Not as simple as it sounded, since I got lost on the way there and ended up locked in with a random bunch of prisoners... including three more people I kind of owed. So then I had to break out of one cell block to get to the other. Which involved a fight with a really old Russian martial artist, eventually resolved by him running off the roof and not quite making the jump. So then I was on the roof of the other cellblock, and had to sneak down to the area my people were in, and then... I didn't yet know. Something something profit?
On the way down there I turned a corner and met a security guard...
... who was also the guy I'd had a crush on in high school. He just kind of raised an eyebrow and did a fistbump on the way past.
I met Loki again when I got to the guys I'd seen through the window, and suddenly I had a Cunning Plan: since sneaky was not going to work, we needed to make a splash. We needed to make a splash so large the Avengers got called in, and once they were there they could be induced to arrest all my people and move them to another prison, and then at least they could get trials and possibly visitors and at bare minimum people would know they were locked up in the first place. (And something something profit, but hey, getting closer!)
So Loki rolled his eyes and put on full regalia, and gave me my best supervillain (mutant freedom fighter) outfit, and we unlocked doors and got everyone outside and sent my favourite guard to go raise the very specific alarm. Which worked as far as it went - the Avengers did indeed arrive - but then Loki wasn't especially inclined to get captured and I had dozens of people running around trashing a place they really sincerely hated and we all had to make it look good anyway or the prison guards would realise it was a rescue. For that matter the Avengers might realise it was a rescue, and be disinclined.
So that was pretty glorious, as chaos goes.
I'm slightly alarmed though that I keep dreaming about Loki. If one is to attract the attention of gods, an unsafe enterprise at the best of times, chaos gods are quite the least safe of the lot.
Yet certainly the most exciting.
