I was in a parade!
Jul. 26th, 2014 04:53 pmNorwich Pride parade was today, and I was walking in it, all the way around!
Well, I say all the way, I got back to the Forum. Officially the parade kept going back to the park where there would be more stuff happen, but I had been to look at the stands in the Forum (all serious stuff and leaflets this time), and then been to the picnic, and then in the parade, all the way up to where it ended in other years. If I kept going to the park I'd just have to turn back around to go get the bus.
It seemed like there wasn't much people watching the parade, like everyone had decided to be in it instead.
I didn't see much of it because walking in it but there were Many people and flags and groups and all sorts. I was behind the police and ambulance people flags. That seemed like a nice place.
Mum went with and she liked the picnic and the dancing and bought me a rainbow rose cause I said they were cool. So now I have a kind of dead rainbow rose. But it's still cool.
I am very exhausted but only in my walking and my back and such, my brain is fine. Mum was most surprise, because usually when people are Many it's a problem, but today I was smiles. I have been many rainbow days now and there are many people but also smiling and nice. And also like two people with the placards who are not smiling and not nice, but we ignore them and make whistles so we can't hear them anyway, stupid religion people doing it wrong. There were other religions walking in the parade. There was people in robes from the goddess temple, that was cool. Lots of many sorts of people.
My brain liked today but my back and my legs and my knees and my feets all disliked it very much. I think I spend too much time in this recliner. It's nicer here, but I should retain the ability to biped by moving around more often.
When the parade was done I was meeting mum at the TV & Movie Store. Mum had followed me round the parade route, cause she expected me to be not okay, but I was okay all round. But we still needed a place to meet cause when she got as far as the crystals shop mum had a thing to get and left the parade to it. So I went and shopped.
I bought a SHIELD t-shirt. I don't know how often I'll wear it but I have it now. I realise it doesn't seem very Pride related, but in my head all is slash fiction, so it kind of works.
Then we went to Waterstones and mum realised she needed to go quick and catch the bus but I wished to stop and get books so she went on ahead. I got 3 books and spent my gift card and my Waterstones card. One is the Guardians of the Galaxy prelude, which I'm not sure I want, but I was in such a good mood even a little want saw it in my bag. Another I wasn't going to get in hardback but again was in too good a mood to leave it. Good mood is spendy. Is okay, is books.
I got the bus home and it dropped me at my house because buses are excellent like that now.
Now I had to choose if I was going to lie down in the recliner and tell the internet all about it or just go to bed and be all done. I'm not quite sure I made the correct choice since now I'll have to get up at least once more today. But this way I could tell HabitRPG all the things I did today and get lots of gold for it. I may have counted 'Go Outside' and 'Be Social' a few more extra times, because I think a parade is a lot more Outside than going to the supermarket, but is cool, that was a lot of doing so that was a lot of gold for it. ... I want to put the rainbow armour back on too but it has no Con bonus and I already know I missed some Dailies to get this done, like some of the advisable Eat Food, so I'll need proper armour by midnight. But in theory I'm wearing rainbow armour too.
Rainbows day :-)
