Guardians of the Galaxy :-D

beccaelizabethToday I finally got as far as the cinema to watch Guardians of the Galaxy.
Mum went with me. I like disabled tickets, carer goes free if I sign the thing.
Film was fun with lots of whoosh and boom, but all the stuff I've seen on tumblr people grumbling about I agree with. Like, emotionally, with those enemies, it should have been Gamora's film. And that particular insult from that particular character makes no sense. And what was with making Quill forget a whole person for the opening funny? That ... no. Not fun. And the thing with the false leg was unfun. And Howard the Duck was just weird and boring, that was a waste of minutes.
Plus I've heard in teh comics there's two more women in the Guardians of the Galaxy, a lesbian couple, and they just got left out? That would be boring stupid bad.
Also the lack of women on merch is really annoying.
But the other set of stuff on tumblr, that being all whoosh boom GROOOOOOOOT, that also true. Groot is good. Dancing is good. And holding hands.
Am glad I went today cause after Thursday there's no showings listed anywhere local.
Am frustrated that this was the first opportunity I had given the ongoing lack of support.
There's NSFG tonight according to my calendar but I'm at home cause it gets no easier to do the transport thing or the going places.
So, back to waiting on someone listing the perfectly perfect house on Rightmove so I can move to Norwich and have far fewer transport problems.
And/or waiting on winning the lottery or premium bonds so I can afford the perfectly perfect house or making somewhere perfectly perfect.

Date: 2014-10-16 12:10 am (UTC)goodnot quite bad guys winning basically through the Power of Friendship.And yeah, Gamora got shafted mostly because she was stuck being the Sensible One while everyone else got to act lack irresponsible lunatics. I want a Marvel Team-Up movie with her and Natasha to make up for it.
OTOH Drax calling Ronan in to confront fits perfectly with his character, given his character was a @#$% It All lunatic. My biggest beef is where did he get the most wanted terrorist in the galaxy's mobile number?
But the highlight of the movie was basically Rocket and Groot. The damned movie made me cry along with a CGI raccoon over a dead CGI tree with a three word vocabulary. Plus this (http://sir-talen.deviantart.com/art/Best-Buds-the-Comic-475241258) is my personal Head Canon for how Groot and Rocket met.
