Aug. 10th, 2015 07:53 amBeen awake since about six ish.
Currently feeling like the sky is falling, which is very unhelpful.
Dreamt a long rambling thing that started out with me waking up on the top deck of one of those double decker tour buses with no lid, with it starting to snow, in Cardiff. Hadn't started out in Cardiff. There was a super creepy bus conductor who pretty much only moved his head at the neck and looked like he was iced over already. And all the other passengers were either frozen in their sleep or just waking up too.
Bit of a promising Doctor Who intro, really.
After that there was lots of running around and getting lost, as per usual, and the thing where the signs made no sense actually made more sense than usual because Welsh.
Then Spike turned up and the dream had a lot more biting in it. Which was initially fun, but then with the exhaustion, depression, health worries, and having to face up to the thing where that was not going to end well.
... the fun part was very fun though. Spike would be such a bad idea, and yet...
So then we were all in a big marquee tent and there starts to be a glow, like sunrise only super early. So I go outside to see what's up and I realise just in time and throw myself flat facing away from the nuclear explosion, lying there with my arms over my head and the world going white through eyelids, arms, and everything else, and then the shockwave rolled over us.
World stays white, ash everywhere, but we were far enough out it's not an instant kill.
But then the flying saucers arrive with heat rays. I say flying saucers, they were more like saucers on top of big yogurt pots with lots of little... you know those icing shapes you can make with a nozzle? Like that but black with sparkly bits and death rays coming out. They were just swooping along leaving lines scorched behind them, eliminating everything in their path. They were way too fast to dodge, you just watched them whoosh past and whoops, there goes the survivors. But then it parked and running became relevant again.
Spike caught up with me but he'd been blinded by the flash so I had to lead him. We found a building still standing and inside there was a television studio and a bunch of people who seemed to be pretending it was all a big joke? And the lights turned on Spike and he freaked out and ran for it, which is pretty reasonable for such a flammable person. Plus that was the first time since kaboom he'd seen much of anything. He reacted like it was kaboom part two. And the studio audience laughed their arses off, and I paused to yell at them, then ran to catch up with him. Not that I could on little human legs.
Then there was bumping into some character played by Christian Kane, only with a little pointy beard and giant sunglasses. Not his best look. Also, in that dream, evil.
You'd think in a dream with a nuclear explosion and alien invasion that a single slimy evil lawyer wouldn't really rate a mention, but believe me, he was as creeptastic as everything else.
So then I woke up at around 0600 and sleep ... ran away and would not come back.
And now I feel like the sky is falling and would quite like to hide under a blanket for the forseeable but that actually gets pretty boring after the first couple hours so here I am all awake and up.
Blergh.

Date: 2015-08-10 07:14 am (UTC)In the end, when I've connected with someone so much as to dream about them, or rather connect to the, it has not been a pleasant experience.
When someone talks about creeptastic lawyers, I do find myself thinking nostalgically of the days of LA Law, and Rumpole on the telly; when people could still get away with portraying lawyers as people seeking justice.
Nowadays when I think of lawyers I just find myself having to wait for thoughts of whether they've sacrificed their first-born for a contract at Wolfram & Hart.
Whedon you eevil bar steward!
