beccaelizabethEvery time I think I've got everything sorted and put away, I find more thing.
But this time I have absolutely definitely moved all the bits of paper I had planned to box into the boxes I had planned to hold them.
... except my dissertation log book, which is a box file which is utterly falling apart at the seams, and won't fit in any other box ever. I think I'll have to unbox it. Either that or wrap it in so much clingfilm it looks like carbonite and preserve it as a historical artefact rather than accessible papers. Don't know which yet.
Five different patterns of box holding all the college papers, all the convention folders, and quite a large stack of random written notes that peter out about when I put that kind of plot bunny on my journal instead. Tagged journal entries are way more helpful for that kind of thing.
Except then I lean back in my chair and happen to get a glimpse of the strange realm of Behind The Desk, inaccessible lo these many years, and I'm pretty sure there's two more plastic bags of paperwork under there. Maybe only one. Probably two.
So. more thing.
But! I have a filing cabinet for the things that go in filing cabinets, and I have room in the appropriate boxes for the things that do not. I have a system. And just as soon as I can get rid of this desk, those things are going in the system.
Or the bin.
Whichever.
I still have a six inch pile of papers for shredding, which are waiting on mum who owns the shredder. It gave up last time before we'd done one inch of paper though, so I suspect that's a long term task and all.
*sigh*
Also, due to a new record in fail to get out of bed, the places I need to go and or contact are closing in five minutes and would not welcome a complex phone call. So that's it until Monday.
I actually make steady progress at stuff, it's just sloooooow and steady, and stuff tends to accumulate ahead of it.
Okay then.
I shall think of some form of entertainment and go do that.
