Sep. 19th, 2005 02:08 pmToday I are been mostly reading
'The subcultures reader'
full of interesting essay type stuff
some of it about punk
every time I do that I get 70s Ripper plot bunnies
except I'm still fed up of teenage stories
especially ones that have the basic structure 'Ripper or Ethan or Randall or someone does something incredibly dangerously stupid, and then they somehow survive it. Or not, if its Randall.'
I like stories where a bad thing happens and people deal with it by making smart choices. Much less depressing.
