I keep finding myself agreeing with Julian where the story clearly doesn't.
The whole take responsibility bit is good but people treating their mental health challenges like they're a question of willpower is frustrating. However strong you are it won't on its own fix your brain chemistry.
Other people have less frustrating story arcs. Wally keeps doing better. But its kind of weird seeing all stories be origin stories. Like, is that the only arc now?
Barry being down on himself for being a rubbish teacher and then crediting even his enemies with teaching him was a good note.
STAR labs taking over the forensics on meta cases seems like something they could bid for? like the department could hire their facilities or something? and otherwise seems, as per usual, a bit not good.
I like that Joe gets a personal life now.
I do not like that the lies and explanations are what makes the story go in season 3, at the same time as nobody points out who it was taught them to lie as their first protective response. Like, go in depth or get the hell over it ffs.
I can see how Julian exists as mirror and interest primarily for Caitlin, little bit to wind up Barry. I can also see why he's not back next year, they'll play an arc and hit reset again and bring someone in who reflects a different facet.
I am already so very, very tired of women being afraid of their own power. Get over it.
But Jesse Quick is back at the tag, maybe that'll be cool and save the world y.
