I pre ordered this book and have been very much looking forwards to it
and I read it all today.
It's a great big adventure that drags us through more of the ghost roads, with surprising jolts as it jumps to new directions.
I liked it a lot, but Rose did spend a long time repeatedly explaining how wanting to be a ghost was very much unlike suicide, and I see her points, but if you're avoiding that whole topic, tw suicide and an afterlife that keeps being held up as appealing. One that suicides cannot get to.
It also has a bunch about how immortality sucks when it's stolen and involves hurting others, which, okay, but I see that in so many books and even SF isn't always encouraging. There's got to be a good way to dream big.
But I like how tryhe world of the ghost roads clicks together, and it was a very grand adventure, and surprising and satisfying to the end.
Good book, currently debating between 4.5 and 5 stars.
