Today I think I slept more than is at all reasonable
or possibly just in the wrong hours
I woke up convinced it was like 0730
and it was 2pm.
*sigh*
I also went through Enterprise episodes on Memory Alpha until I found a third thing that annoyed me, so now I have a three part plot for my Pathfinderish thingy.
... it's not the same and it smushes episodes together but that's actually helpful if one aspires to write a New Thing. But the other two are very like? Cogenitor and Hatchery both annoyed me enough to throw at a new story and yell at the characters. But to make it Pathfinder shaped I'm thinking they find some newly hatched driders? With a geas left on them so they'll be looked after when they're found. (I don't know if geasa work that way there, but, story.) And then the argument goes Pathfinder shaped because Everyone Knows they are Evil, but I am pretty sure they're just new, and new isn't evil. And then big philosophical debate can ensue. Ending in leaving the ship, because no, I don't care what the detect spell says, good is a thing you do, not a thing you are.
Only Golarion as a whole disagrees with me on that one. And the rules. Sort of.
So that's a whole set of issues to drive a story through.
It is not precisely a productive day but it's something.

Date: 2020-01-18 11:20 pm (UTC)"Help the babies" sounds reasonable, or very reasonable
duration is one hour per level and they cast as sixth level
so as long as everything happens in six hours or less, Archer could be under a Suggestion.
None of his Storm Druid stuff makes him resist it harder.
This would mean the drider would be alive when he got there. She could send up dancing lights to attract attention.
But whatever she was dying of worries me rather.
Shipwreck is obvious but ships are not a typical context for drider.
Caves can come up anywhere but then why the need for help?
Who or what arrives?
Big story.
... drow are to elves as romulan are to vulcan.
... T'Pol translates as elf pretty easily...
