Pathfinder Hell's Rebels
Oct. 30th, 2020 12:16 pmI have finished reading the whole adventure path, right up to the last boss battle at the end.
It's feeling weirdly anticlimax? Like yes you've won, but...
Right at the end of the entire epic adventure path
Mephistopheles turns up
to, basically, thank you for your help?
Because all plans are twisty hell plans and he wanted you to do all the preceding adventure.
So yeah you've won, but, Hell is happy about that.
Is it me, or is that one hell of a downer ending?
It's the sort of thing that turns all the fights around it from being sort of cathartic to being a manifestation of the problem.
So now I'm feeling down about the ending in specific and combat based rpgs in general.
Which probably was not the plan.
