Today I looked up Sunnydale on wiki and found people have indeed figured out where the fictional town probably is
and also that I'd had it on the wrong side of LA in my head for A Long Time.

... I know nothing about California so this does not advantage me much, but, you know, no knowledge is wasted.

Huh. I thought it was Sunnyvale-based and not specific, but people really put in a lot of work with the "there's the woods and here's the beach" location. Cool
