Jul. 4th, 2022 05:15 amAm distracting myself with the Deck of Many Things again.
I keep deciding the same things though so I have to keep being like 'new rule! what if, not doing that?'
but it's something to do.
Had marmite in my baked beans for the first time in a few days, because the lid just decided to come open when I tried it today. It didn't all week.
So I said "thank you" to the kitchen in general, because you never know.
I keep thinking I should do something more interesting
but then remembering the current increasing stats about covid
and deciding here is a nice place, actually, and I can stay inside it some more.
its a bit boring.
but the least risk I can think of.
Being risk averse in Pathfinder is how I keep circling back to the Deck.
All the xp, only one brief set of risks.
Very brief, if you draw the wrong card, but at least it's not something you have to get psyched up for every single day forever, so that's nice.
Inventing characters would be much simpler if I didn't still try and cover every eventuality on my own. I know the rules really don't encourage any such thing, but, I keep figuring, if finding a gaming group at all, let alone one who can turn up on the regular, is so difficult, what would it be like in real life with real goblins? Scheduling *and* serious wounds. Just not plausible.
Fun though.
ah well.
ETA: was reading descriptions of magic items, as you do, and found that Belts of Constitution usually have A Bear on them, for the Bear's Endurance spell.
Which isn't an animal I'd usually wear.
But then I realised
nothing says
they cannot be
Care Bears.
:-D
Cheer Bear and Rainbow Heart Bear are in this room right now, though I can only see Purple Bear.
... I have a new dream DnD aesthetic...
