beccaelizabethBetween the delivery this morning (dvds) and the workmen outside doing something very metallic power tool, today was not a great day for sleeping.
I woke up with the delivery and was stuck awake for hours, so I put my watch on to go get some food, and... immediately fell asleep.
But now with the stand alerts turned on.
I didnt actually miss any all afternoon, and, I did get about six more hours sleep
just
waking up once an hour to wave my arm around
apparently.
*sigh*
I'll get up in a minute to do a whole day's exercise in the last couple hours.
... I'm not sure this activity watch bit is really having the intended effect.
If I could have one magic item it would be
spectacles that show poisons and diseases
but if I could have two it would be
a ring of sustenance
because you get all the right nutritions
and
only need two hours sleep a night.
It never says you can't have a lie in, but you'd only *need* two.
The game effects are limited in most circumstances, though a lot of adventure paths will have an its hard to sleep section just to mess with you, but, as with many low level magic items, it would be a daily use life changer for so many people.
You'd need 8 billion of them before you could dispense with food growing as a concept, and they cost 2,500gp. 50gp weighs one imperial lb. 50lb of gold gets spent to buy one ring, 25lb of that going into creation costs for parts. The ring's weight is negligible, so you wonder where the rest went. Probably it has high quality gemstones in it. Possibly gold just disappears when you do magic.
It would take 400 billion lb of gold pieces to have the parts to craft all the rings of sustenance for 8 billion people.
Earth has mined more gold than that. I think.
... better hope it doesnt vanish when you do a magic then.
