Around the world in 80 days

Today I watched the first two episodes of the David Tennant Around the World in 80 days, on the iplayer, with mum.

We were looking for something to watch which we wouldnt watch if my brother was here, since he likes superheroes and action movies, so we looked at the iplayer.
There's a lot of stuff on there I'd never pick at all.
We picked this one only because we know DT, we had no expectations of it.

Turns out it is Very Tense with many big feelings, politics and violence and death of family members and accidents where children get hurt, and who knows what will be in the next episodes?
... people who know the story probably.

It was good to watch but I think I will save further episodes for another day and today go back to rereading things and knowing what happens. It turns out to take a lot of Feelings to watch new things.

It is very good, very tense, and a lot of feelings all around. Tennant plays someone completely different from any of his previous roles I've seen.

You say that, but the answer is: No. Of course the very basic premise is the same, but the stories they tell are WILDLY different from the original. (*cough* Racism *cough*)
