Oct. 30th, 2024 02:35 pmI tried Wrath of the Righteous again today to try out builds in Inevitable Excess.
There is new free DLC but from the point of view of spending all morning in the character builder it basically means a new hair style.
From my morning filling in character sheets I have concluded
Unfair difficulty isn't kidding, that stuff sure is Unfair
I was rolling for 20s to try and even hit the dragon
and I forgot that none of your Companions are on builds you would have chosen if you just make up a new character for Inevitable Excess.
Also, if you copy builds from the internet, and they say something like 'simple dps build' or 'good all round support caster' they are in fact lying and there will be many buttons of unknown function that someone thought would be a very good trick but didnt bother to add instructions.
I had somehow got 7 characters and 2 mounts in my party, since the merc I hired didn't displace anyone just got added on, and yet I still spent all morning learning where the toggles were to actually hit something, and really missing Daeran when the healing ran out.
Now I've stopped I'm pretty sure that was not in fact fun and I shall not go back to that save.
Games have a lot of math in them
and outsourcing that to the internet does not work.
So that was my day.
