Dec. 28th, 2024 03:47 pmYesterday I crit failed quitting playing Wrath of the Righteous again so I ended up still playing at 3am.
My watch ran all the way out. It warned me to charge it. It went on low power. Then to sleep. But three hours later I was still attempting to quit.
On the plus side I got a lot done and the armies of the fifth crusade have stomped everything that isn't a 10 already. I did the bit with the dragon, which is so much easier when you have a round to cast protection spells, finished Greengates, stomped around the map finding horrible undead enemies, and accidentally took on one fight just the wrong side of a level boundary and had to go to sleep with characters still bleeding because winning the fight levelled us up to have the necessary spell but you have to rest first. It was somehow okay though, they didnt get worse again until we woke up. I meant to buy a bunch of scrolls before we went out again but just realised I forgot.
Also, am romancing Daeran and Aru on this play through. Aru mostly feels guilty and needs telling there's no such thing as thought crimes, so I'm not sure how well the romancing is going.
Spending time with Daeran only takes one hour now. I was sure it was four last time, and some forum posts agree, so I feel like they nerfed his, ah, romantic prowess.
I remembered to do Lann's quests so this time should work better than last play through. You have to talk to everyone or you miss key stuff. I think it's going okays today.
I started trying the Helmsman's quest but it was just at the very limit of survivable so I think I'll go back when I have time later.
Haven't been near Blackwater. Not sure I want to. But who wants to leave that at their back?
I will probably go spend the rest of the day playing the same game again.
I do like the Azata's path. There are choices and I think I'm making different ones this time than first time. Pretty things are happening and it's all just a bit silly and fun, which is nice until you, like, combine that view with the actual fighting, and then I find it a bit too silly and wonder if that's the sort of thing as should be fun. I think I'll try and take Legend and like it this time.
Good game.
I'm going to have to apply more willpower to playing moderate amounts of it though.
