college today

beccaelizabethI participated in class, made notes, did the reading, and had ideas for the long essays.
also, I double checked for a book I wanted, and it said 'new, ask at enquiries', and it turned out to be shiny new and just arrived. So I have the BFI Buffy book I hadn't bought yet.
also also, I left my huge great spare textbook at the Student Union and they're optimistic they'll be able to sell it. Which would be nifty cool. I can buy more books.
I bought chocolate (because I'm only allowed chocolate if I go and get it, so I, um, stock up... okay, that kind of avoids the thing the rule is meant for...)
and I remembered to get cash out the wall for the dishwasher installation.
basically today functioned as intended, with minimal misunderstanding and embarrassment. The thing where I missed seeing the taxi until it beeped is just because the day was all full up. No big deal. Even if I did blush most of the way home.
I'm getting better at the world, but some days I still wish it happened in easier portions.
