Apr. 15th, 2006 08:34 pmNew Doctor Who! Yaays!
Lots of scary and screaming and running around
and also silly bits
and funny
and too much kissing.
though that was funny too. the look on his face and all.
but its cheating to do body swap kissing. its what shows do to make 'shippers and noromos happy at once. and it doesn't. and it irritates.
body swap also seems an odd way to start the year. I mean we barely know who this Doctor is, now they're showing us who he isn't?
well, yes, because that helps knowing also.
... of course if the 'too much kissing' was with Jack it wouldn't be too much at all, so really I'm just annoyed about Rose
but less so than usual. because she was there much less.
;-)
and then watching the confidential, which is fun as always
I was thinking though, this episode/behind the scenes double as a usual thing... is this unique? It is certainly different.
you get the whole main episode of being in the Doctor's world
then you get a whole thing of being in the writer world
swapping, turning it around and seeing from the other side.
Usually you only get to do that on DVDs, and not so much for each episode, mostly.
The whole 'and now for a songvid' approach is plain odd. Its like they let the fans loose on real TV!
So its just interesting. They seem to be doing TV different.
I think I like.
Though his natural accent just sounds strange to me.
Also, when they had 9 in flashbacks? Looked strange to me too.
The inside of my head thinks 10 is totally the Doctor now.
cool.

I think they did let the fans loose on real TV. :D RTD is known to be a huge Doctor Who fan, as are many of the writers. Also DT and JB are both long time fans of the show. Did you see DT being interviewed by JB on "This Morning"? They are such fanboys! *g* I wish JB was going to be in this series, but at least we get to see him in Torchwood.

didn't see the interview. shall poke around for a download.
and, er, have you seen the message up on JB's site? There's an 'Also... later in the year' bit, which I took to mean something seperate from Torchwood.
But yes, Torchwood yaays.
