I had sneezes and had to use a lot of tissues, but I don't think I disrupted class... much. Don't know about how many other people will get sneezes. *guilt*
But my brain worked fine and I didn't feel sick :-)
We did studying things that we had previously done in Cultural Studies, so I knew the words, and it was just applying them to Great Expectations. That was cool.
And we did looking at techniques for making characters. Meanings of names, and stuff. I like that.
And teach said 'good' about something I said. I always like that.
And then there was a talk on plagiarism and referencing, but I asked and it was the same talk from when I did Access, which means I've been to it maybe 3 times now. I took the leaflets and went.
Not to say my referencing is flawless, but I don't think a small presentation on it is going to be any more useful than it was last time.
We got the times and stuff for the drama half of the unit. Apparently the reading list we got already was only for the novel half. Which makes for manymany books instead of just many.
I was being all smart and frugal and getting things from the library, but every time I go on amazon I seem to clicky another book. One click is terrible for the low impulse control thing.
I think I have the necessary book for next week. I got it from the library. They only have the one copy. I feel guilt. But I also ordered it. I'll give it back as soon as amazon delivers.
I had not previously had to think about how long amazon takes on stuff, but so far Great Expectations hasn't turned up, and we finish studying it next week. Is a good thing I could download.
The next thing we study is a translation, so everyone has to have the exactly same book. At one week notice. Fun.
We're also supposed to read it before Tuesday. I can do that, but everyone who has to actually hunt the book... well, that sounds like less fun, anyways.
So next week I decided I'll go in on Tuesday for the whole afternoon. Just in case. Because if it turns out to be like we were told out loud, then it will be the evening, but if it is like it is written down, then it will be the afternoon. So I go for both. Whichever one doesn't have lesson in can have watching videos in the library. I have a VCR, but it isn't plugged in, and I'm very not sure it would work. I think the library has some places to watch videos though.
I like studying books. Books are portable. And if they're downloadable they're portable without weighing any extra than I would otherwise carry. cool.
I have bouncy now. I like it when I get home. Class is full of thoughts.
I just don't like the getting up and going there parts.
