The bit where Jack says he has no-one : is present tense in 1941.
How relevant is that to a time-traveller?

Good point! He has no one in 1941 (making it clear he's not Tosh's guy) - if he counts Ianto as "someone", well, he's not going to be born for quite some time. ;-)
