I was the making up the game person today at RPG. It took a session and a half just to make up everyones characters, this being GURPS and us having only one rule book between us. And I'm not entirely clear on all the rules. And I'm pretty sure I'm using them in ways not entirely in accordance with the book. But, everyone had fun. We got about two hours of gaming in I think, and by the end, the players were confused, and the characters were running away. So basically I rule :) Horror campaign. I realised that I had 22 unused plots planned in a fair degree of detail already, my Ripper series. I cant use them in the same order and I need to tweak them a bit to account for the different abilities in this group, but so far so good. The scary place has been introduced, and the characters have run from it. Also I got the NPC werewolf to fail a fright check and wolf out. Heh. This time it worked out okay, but later... oooh, fun :)

Also I had my laptop with me and used that to keep notes and make plans. So there is a better than usual chance I'll remember the important bits for next week. Also, it slowed things down a lot, but it gave me pauses to think without it looking too much like I needed pauses to think. So that works. And I'll probably get better with practice.

I even have a way planned for the characters to win, which is the part I'm least good at remembering. I like making the scary, but the players probably like achieving goals now and then. Going to start them off easy :)

So I'm doing the happy dance. Especially because only one more session and I'll have equalled my record :)
