Apr. 4th, 2007 11:21 amI went Out
and I Bought Things
brave hunter! yaays!
... well, you know, if by 'hunt' I mean 'reserve from Argos' and by 'brave' I mean 'kinda jumpy'
I went to the factory shop and bought more glowsticks and a shield bracelet... well, some silver oval patterns on elastic, but it made me think 'shield bracelet' so that's what it shall be.
Then I went to QD, I think, the newish place, and I bought more of the snuggly thing I like for the sofa. I already have enough to cover me but I wanted another one because they're nice. Also I bought a purple thing that isn't quite so snuggly but is still nice and makes the colors more themey. Then at the checkout they had more shiny things so I now have a sodalite bracelet that says it is for calm and an amethyst one that says it is for peace and a turquoise shiny on a string that doesn't actually say anything but looks a bit like a planet.
I had a pendant that looks like a planet already but I bought it with the money from the job that turned out to only last two weeks so I sort of gave up wearing it due to deep embarrassment. Having subsequently embraced the whole non working lifestyle I could dig it out again, if I still have it in a box somewhere. I think I do.
I also bought a glowy necklace of a sort I have not seen yet. Don't know if I'll like it.
Then I went to Argos and picked up the new duvet and pillows set. It is exactly like the old set only new. So that's okay then.
Then I had to carry it home, which was less fun.
I got to the shop that sells reclining chairs and decided that I could do with a sit down. Also I wanted to try them out to see if I want one.
Reclining chairs are *weird*. They feel sort of floaty and like you're flying. There's a big lever on the side and I vaguely feel like that should release the catapult. And the expensive one didn't want to go back down, it kept springing me up again. So all in all I don't think I want one actually, no. And they're not like the one I remember from before so maybe I need a different keyword or maybe they just had weird chairs. Weird expensive chairs.
Not that expensive is the problem right now. But those chairs I just tried are not the chairs for me.
So that was quite a lot of Things Done, especially considering I've been up since 1800ish yesterday I think.
Now the only problem is teh schedule for the day allows all of an hour and a half before the cleaner gets here, and then there's Things To Do until 1600.
Meaning I have a plan where I stay up, what, 22 hours?
Not my best plan.
But I have glowy, shiny, and snuggly things
... which seem to be the only categories of things I get these days.
And I might have spent as much as £50, which is to my mind A Lot.
Which explains why my savings have stacked up quite so much. I mean I'm putting coats back because the price is in double digits. That's just daft.
Oh well, working on it.
which, also, kinda fun.
