5, Turlough, and the TARDIS in danger.
In Russia. With lots of different accents.
I like Turlough. He's just so twisty. He'd really rather not be a good man. He keeps trying to explain how all the saving the world stuff was really just self interest, when he's not trying to talk himself out of helping people at all. And then he turns around and leads people and saves the whole of history and you get the feeling he's going to sulk about it once it has been pointed out to him. It makes the whole thing so much more fun. Healthy degree of self preservation meets niggly feeling that actually something needs doing.
Also I liked the bit where he's all "The Doctor would be smart. I'm just going to hit it."
:-)
5 can be so condescending, but then there's moments where the emotion shows up, or he does something that makes him as clever as he thinks he is, and then it's all just the Doctor being like he is. I liked it that the bad guys think of 5 as one of the young ones. They're not impressed with 5 because he's just a baby Doctor, same like they're not impressed with Earth in the 21st century cause they're just primitives.
Then there's layers about family and changing the past and making a difference and not changing the past and not being able to make that difference and it's all good stuff.
There is only one more audio with Turlough.
I may sulk.
I now have to decide if I should buy it next or leave it for later.
