Because thoughts are meant for sharing

beccaelizabethYou know when you have a thought and it's a perfectly logical thought and once you think it you can't actually unthink it or think of any reason for not thinking it and yet you vaguely wish you hadn't thought it?
The things I googled to research this thought include 'temperature testicles sperm production' and 'Time Lord body temperature'.
... speculations about what Time Lords have in their trousers are not helpful, and yet...
I was thinking about logic and why parts are where they are in humans and how that might apply to alien biologies. So. Testicles in humans are outside the main body as part of temperature regulation. They need to be cooler than the rest of humans or the sperm production doesn't work so very well. But. Time Lord body temperature is cooler than humans. Like, lots. So even if their bits work with the same enzymes and need the same temperatures they would not need to be external. Or, in other words, logically, if the Doctor has balls, they would not need to be where anyone could see them.
So then I started thinking of a way to introduce this concept into canon in a U rated show. As a technical challenge. And it's not like there's many situations where it would come up. Donna didn't mention it to 10.5, but he was half human and quite possibly built differently. Aside from that there's not often unexpected naked Doctor. But then I thought about Angel and the 'not a eunuch' comments. All it would take would be someone in a position to know and a culture to have the word to keep calling him a eunuch, and him either not complaining about it, or saying it's a simple species difference and an easy mistake to make. And there's lots of cultures with eunuchs in important social roles. Maybe he'd disguise himself and it would all be A Hilarious Misunderstanding.
... I'm not sure eunuch is a U rated concept really, even with the unique joke and all.
And did I mention, thinking this stuff, *headdesk*
