Wikipedia irritation
Aug. 21st, 2009 06:37 pmThe more stuff ends up on Wiki, the harder it is to find something that isn't Wiki. Especially since so many other pages just straight up copy them. And now I'm finding that mailing lists that used to forward strange and unusual news stories or paranormal research are forwarding whole pages from Wikipedia instead, and none of it new or particularly well referenced.
I think I'm going to stop reading Fortean Times anyway. There's weirdness in the world, but it falls into recogniseable patterns, even if they're not explainable patterns. After a while reading more fo the same just stops being amusing.
... I have grumpy. *sigh*
