Yesterday got ate by a headache. So then I spent as long as possible sleeping, hoping eventually the pain and nausea would wear off. So that was fun.
Dreamed I was one of four teenagers/children chosen to become some kind of mystical embodiment of a particular realm of life. Like the youngest was tiny frog person, all squatting with his knees out and pouncing on things, and the oldest figured he'd be a stag though we thought he was being over optimistic on the horns front, and the other girl decided to be a dragon. Each set of four worked for four years, and whatever it was they did it kept the world in balance. Things had just gone a bit apocalyptic, for some reason to do with Dionysius and too much order snapping into far too much chaos, and I figured out it was because this cycle's chosen four had just screwed it up. So our four were being chosen early, even though the youngest wasn't even in double figures yet. Giant mystical error, kids had to find all the pieces for the ritual to solve it, like there was a staff with a circle on top that needed 8 different carved figures to go in it, four animal and four hybrid semi humans. Pretty good set up for a kid quest show actually.
My character was 16 and turning part octopus. Which was cool, instead of braids she had tentacles and they could curl and lift things and everything. There were two more tentacles as well but they stayed under the skirt mostly. Pretty good reason to wear a skirt over leggings, if you're hiding tentacles in there.
Everyone had different reactions, mostly reasons to not want to spend their next four years being mystical embodiments, like the oldest was getting ready for university and had sports teams to be on and thought he was just starting to be the one to make choices about his own life and just generally thought mystical whosits should be a volunteer only position. The other girl was concerned about her little brother. Being a dragon would be epic awesome for her, of course, but he seemed to be diving into being a frog a bit too enthusiastically and he'd only wander off and get lost and really who decided a nine year old got to make decisions that would change the whole fate of the world? But she, at 11, was of course fine. But her little brother thought her being a dragon was doing bad things for her temperament, she was getting mean and greedy and not letting him play, and probably she shouldn't get to be a dragon. But what was wrong with being a frog? He could hop to whole new places, like a teleport, and he could catch things with his tongue! ... nobody was very pleased about things he caught with his tongue.
I in the dream didn't want to be a mystical embodiment because I'd just found out I had very important things to do with the rest of the year. Dream me was pregnant, and didn't know what turning into sea life would do to the baby. Running around saving the world a lot seemed likely to put the kid in danger anyway. But I didn't want to tell the others my reasons, because I was still trying to find the father to tell him. So they thought I was just sulking and obsessed with boys and worried they wouldn't fancy me with tentacles.
Solution: the baby's father, once found, was willing to co-parent, even though he was only 17. He was insistent he wasn't going to be like his father. (He was also 17 year old Tony Stark, so he'd finished college and had just a few more options than most teenagers.) The me magically turning into sea life thing was not problem but solution: I turned him part sea horse and use modified octopus methods to put the baby in him to finish gestating. Then I could go save the world a lot and he could deal with consequences of not using condoms for a change.
The tentacle sex mpreg is probably not so much suitable for CBBC. Probably. Though it would involve nothing generally recognised as genitals. How would you even rate that? PG for kissing, WTF for tentacles?
My brain is a strange, strange place.
