Dreams and noises

Haven't slept much, they're doing things to the floors and it is much banging.

Dreamt I was trapped in a house with Captain Cold, and we had to call in the Rogues to help, but Mick brought the Legends too. And Mick was from After, so he was all angst. Like, he was pretty sure he was going to save Len that day, but he'd have to let him go again too, and this is not his best day.

Also, the bad thing? It was frozen deep cold when Mick got there, but somehow still moving. So he hit it with the heat gun, and when it thawed? Len!

Mimic things are the worst.

So we were in this house, lots of statues and shiny stuff, looked like the rich stuff house. But everything was doubled. Mirrored, exactly and precisely. Bilaterally symmetrical house, windows, doors, landings you could see the inner lobby from. Two of everything, down to the rugs.

So, mirrored house full of mirror Bad Thing.

I didn't come up with a reason for the mimic thing, maybe all the backwards versions get possessed or something.

But there's plenty of meaty plot in there.

I have 40 pages of fics in my Ao3 Marked to Read list.
In the back are unfinished fics that haven't updated in five years.
But we can live in hope.

... the list just keeps getting longer. Because I've pretty much only been reading Draco/Harry post war longfic for a whole bunch of weeks now. So many free novels, so many of them... not what I was looking for.

But there are so many things to read.
How do I stay so bored when there are so many things to read?
I should read more.

I remain frustrated with stories where the whole entire story is
"he must never know I am in love with him! ... why does he not know I am in love with him?"
and the entire plot could be cleared up by someone saying one single sentence.

I mean, pretty often it's a whole hating himself too much to even imagine someone else could love him thing
which, okay, it's nice when they work through that to the heartfelt
but it's apparently going to be over a hundred thousand words until then and that's... that's just frustration.

And it's such a boring issue! There's so many actual problems they could be working through! Like being on opposite sides of a war, which applies to entirely too many pairings I am reading, but I am reading them partly from the apparently misguided belief that they have to work out their actual problems in a long enough fic and no
no they don't
they can just... have low self esteem and pining... for two novels...

I realise I am the one deliberately reading this right now
but it's still just
so frustrating.



I would like more plot in my porn pls
and also a bit more individuality
since self esteem issues can be anyone.
