yaay awake?
Jul. 6th, 2017 02:44 pmon the one hand being woken before you'd planned is kind of blergh
but on the other those were not nice dreams.
1500 zombies are a problem, but by the end they were 1500 zombies with kalashnikovs.
and it started as just me viewing houses that were surprisingly gorgeous inside, and then that one place on the unthank that's really surprising to not have sold? Was haunted. She felt, quite reasonably, that since she was still there she should still own it. And I had every sympathy, even after she tried to choke me.
But staggering out the back of the building there was like this mini complex of same same looking flats, all with big glass windows that looked empty except out the corner of your eye.
And then gradually it got worse.
The part where every window had a child's drawing in, all yellow paper and rainbow crayons, but on closer examination they were all the same child, drawing the biggest Help he knew how to do... that's a pretty good detail, I might keep that for later. Having him draw the exact problem but people passing by just not understand or believe it makes it super creepy. And then there's the gradual worsening of the situation, while you don't find him and don't find him, and you wonder how he's wandered around all these places putting up pictures, and then you start to wonder, given the complex yet repetitive behaviours from these undead, are you staying in this nightmare just to try and save a ghost?
But you can't be sure. And he's put his age by his signature. And so you stay and stay and stay...
And then the Avengers turned up!
... and the zombies got guns.
The dream ended with me trying to hold half the doors closed on a glass walled elevator, because on one side the Avengers were evacuating civilians who hadn't believed me about why they should probably not try and arrange 1500 funerals, and on the other side of the glass were the... locals.
And, okay, then the lift took us up and there was a smaller lift in it to go further and then we were in a hospital and I had to ask for healing for Iron Man by finding a menu under the appropriate stripe on my socks, but you know, dreams. ... if magic has colors for schools then each rainbow sock stripe is a different school and it makes perfect sense. I just... feel that wasn't appropriately dramatic.
But I wasn't keen on any of the parts. Even trying to get into a church to ring he bell is a bad dream if you know why you need to ring a warning and no one is letting you cause they don't believe it. Even a queue to do paperwork is a nightmare if they're 1500 missing person reports.
... and some really nice if retro futuristic decorating in a flat can kick it all off, if the previous owner wants to retain possession.
... that explanation for no interior photos in a house listing is going to haunt me...
