People talking in the hall outside makes me really tense.
Like, they have a perfect right to be out there, and they're not shouting or anything, but they make me tense.
I think it's because they're right on the boundary of an interaction decision.
Like, right now, if I open the door and join in the conversation I can clearly hear, it is Rude, so I should decide not to do that.
But then i think about it again as soon as I think that.
Because as soon as someone knocks on my door, which they are outside, then it is time to answer it, and not answering becomes Rude.
So they are very nearly almost at interaction point, but not.
