That is three whole colors!
I did a portal fantasy arrive in medievalish world with a trunk full of this world stuff, and this makes the character instantly Very Rich.
Only I just now read a thing criticising Harry Potter on solid class based grounds because he doesn't learn and earn, he just gets handed an inheritance in several senses.
Also it's kind of creepy making the fantasy Hello I am from afar and far more advanced than you.
I'm hoping the thing where the character instantly ploughs all the money into training, on the basis they know a whole lot about English Literature but not, at this point, how to swim, in the middle of the ocean, will make it more like Hello I am from afar and wow you know many things, let's swap!
Then they're advanced in magic and we're advanced in telescopes and it's all interesting all round.
... but obviously the fun bit is hello you are secretly rich and soon to be powerful welcome to huge adventures!
... only it's not about birth or like sorcerer bloodlines, character shall be a Bard and get magic by telling it stories or possibly singing.
No I don't know why Bard magic works but that's how it works.
And really, if you were magic and someone arrived with the Best Of Queen, doing a few little spells for them seems like fair swaps.
Even if all the music is borrowed.
It's kind of like Guardians of the Galaxy, where he is clearly a Bard who saves the galaxy with a fascinate distraction type of thing, but by mixtape.
Eventually character will be making own stories and own songs, but like as a goal and level up sort of thing.
Plus really, there are so many good songs already, and several centuries of musical tradition would think doing a song someone else made a perfectly respectable way to do things. Show respect for the masters sort of thing. Do Shakespeare before writing a play.
I mean at the moment she just arrived on a ship and it's the first day, so it's all hypothetical, but still. Taking a story for a walk. Could be fun.
