Yahoo says yahoogroups are shutting down this December
and I am having Feelings about that
even though the stored content all went away already
and none of my groups have sent me things for a long while
except one on accident (I know the group moved but one guy keeps using the old address intermittently)

It's just a whole era, you know?

full of people I lost contact with already, but, Feelings.

I thought they already shut down. Hadn't it been a threat hanging over our heads some months back?

The data went away, nothing was stored there any more, but email messages still went through as far as I know. The new announce is that will end, All Done.

I think they were doing it in stages, with December being the hard deadline. Paris Linguists group only this week moved to another server.
