Good morning world.
I slept about ten hours, and woke up even before the garbage trucks started picking up.
I feel all human again. Got to love that.

I also feel kind of... Like the whole week is rushing at me and all happening at once. It is in fact proceeding at the usual speed, but there is a convention at the end of it, and also an essay that we have two weeks to work on but I'll be missing the first few days due to the aforementioned convention, and also today I get my hair done, and it all feels so big it looming up at me.

Actually I like getting my hair done. Since I finally found a hairdresser with the same idea of what looks fun as I have, I like new shiny hair. I will be black and red again. Is going to be neat.

I just... I have things to do, and they're kind of filling up my head.

Also today I need to buy a watch.
I've needed one for about the last half a year, since last time I was in London, but only today do I get around to it. That is if I even remember.
Time is only relevant at college, and college has a clock wherever you look.

I want a watch I found the other month but as soon as I decided that the place stopped selling them.
So I'll end up with a watch from Argos purely because I can poke the website and pick it up today.

My hair will be bright red and then I will go dance. This is good, because I'll be shiny, and also less good, because I'll probably drip bright red if I get hot enough, like I did in the summer where I looked kind of like I was bleeding magenta.

This is the *other* reason I wear black.

My brain is butterfly today. I'll go... read websites and poke argos for a watch.

Wheeee!

I have new hair :-)
It looks very much like the old hair did until the colors faded out.
Except he cut it a bit different because he felt like it.
Which is cool. I don't mind, as long as I look interesting.
So, I'm all red and black again :-)

I also did shopping. Got a nice pair of black trousers in nice fabric, feel like some much missed ones I wore to pieces years back. Those should be good. Found a nice semi see through top with black roses on, and it might be too big for me, which is rather the opposite of the usual problem. Also got a lovely little bead thingy looks like a black shiny web, is sort of a mini cloak. That should go nicely with many things.

Also it will pack small. I've decided to not go much for dressing up this weekend, just take mostly plain bits with a couple of sequin bits to go with, and my flashy Buzz Lightyear gun.

The gun is essential.

Also today I bought a watch. I did the reserve things at Argos thing, and then asked to try them all. The ones that looked good on the website looked kind of tatty in 3D - surprise - and many watches have fiddly straps. I figured if I couldn't get it in three tries it weren't the watch for me. So I ended up with a stretchy one. I think I like it. And if I don't, it isn't tragic, because I can afford it.
I like being able to afford things.

On the way out the shop I found a bracelet with a silver chain and pink-purple-blue threaded through it. 10p :-)

I also bought a rainbow hat. Which sounds just like my rainbow hat and my other rainbow hat, but is in fact different. One is for summer, one is sort of felt stuff, and this one is knit for winter. Rainbow! :-)

I also did other bits of walking that didn't end up with things bought, but no worries.

Take that agoraphobia! I did all the pretties shops on my own!

oooh, except the one right out the back of here, which I forgot on account of it was at the start of the circuit when I was only on my way to get my hair done.

I also read half the play we need to read before next Tuesday. Is nothing like I expected. Is interesting.

This weekend:
Wolf SG-11

I haven't watched any Stargate since the last convention, and I only vaguely know who any of the guests are because I just looked it up, but I have decided this matters not, for I am going to party.

After this, am booked for no more conventions.
This needs fixing.

Today I seem to be doing the rest of the clothes sorting. I guess I'll have time to wash stuff if I find it all today. I've dragged things out the way in the other room and shall be able to dig through the cupboard. I only do that whenever I do convention stuff. I should make sure I'm not ignoring any everyday clothes while I'm in there.

Also I get to choose shiny things :-)
I have this red disc pendant that I bought for graduating from the Access course. Think that will be a good start. And the big hair biter with the shiny red too...

Fun!

Clothes: Blacks wash in the washing machine, hopefully not being destroyed.
Clothes for packing down to two reasonable sized heaps.

Can't try things on with the corset until after the food arrived. Scheduled it late today so it wouldn't arrive while I was out.

But mostly I think I can fit a whole bunch of outfits in the backpack as long as the only warm things I take with me are the usual long waistcoat + big wrap.

:-)

There will also be drinks to pack, and maybe food, but that would fit in a plastic bag.

Things discovered while packing: Where the other half of my underwear went. Useful!

Now I get to have fun digging out shiny things to wear :-)

My helpful person visited but there wasn't anywhere I need to go today because I went there already :-)
Also she looked at the letters and there's nothing needs doing there except wait for later letters, so yaay.

I'm tired. Sleepy. I think I will sleep much this evening.

But I'm also all smiley :-)

101 things that no employee is allowed to do in Torchwood
(even if they do make for interesting plots)

1. DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON
1a. If you really have to press the button, wait until other employees and/or innocent bystanders reach safe distance.
1b. ... if there is any doubt safe distance is a value smaller than, say, Britain, DON'T PRESS THE... ... oh who are we kidding, they always press the button.

I just finished reading teh second drama text for Intro Lit.
Very weird.
You can sort of see why all the scenes are in the same play, but then again, it aren't obvious.
There's theme stuff that connects it all, and characters that connect bits together, but... it is weird.
And it plays games with time rather a lot. Seems in a strange sort of order really.
Plus the annoying thing trying to read when it has overlapping conversations and people talking around other people. Blah.

Basically I like your straightforward old fashioned drama rather more than the comparison modern stuff we've been reading.

The notes in the back irritate me. They say they're for international students, which is presumably their reason for explaining every bit of British English that is even vaguely slang like. But they don't explain what the Pope is, or any kind of church, yet they feel the need to explain what Buddhism is.
Blah.

Also they miss relevant information about what some of the words mean, specifically which way they're gendered. Like, cock and cunt are both used and noted, but only cock is explained as anatomy. Play is all about men and women, surely is relevant which rude words refer to which.

I'm actually too tired to focus on Torchwood, so I turned it off. I've watched a couple of times already and I have a download. I'll watch it again later.
... This could be considered willpower, or it could be due to the way blinking seems to take up whole minutes now.
... *wants to watch again again again*

... Just remembered the one other thing I was going to do before the Stargate convention. Watch some actual Stargate.
Doh!
Well, tomorrow afternoon should have some time in it. If class doesn't turn up anything urgent, like, oh, say, the assignment for this unit we're getting tomorrow morning.

I need to sleep. I'm going to go to bed now.

Is very irritating. Just because I have to get up in 9.5 hours and usually sleep more than that I have to go sleep now. Sulk.
